Maui- Day 3

We were up early on Day 3 and decided to visit different beaches.  We were pretty much the only people at the first few beaches we visited because of how early we got to them.
Our walk back to Honulua Bay.....
Our first beach we visited on this day was Honulua Bay.  I really don't have the fondest memories of Honulua Bay, but figured it was worth mentioning.  We snorkeled there for about 10 minutes, but the water was cloudy and we didn't see much.  We were getting ready to leave and some people stopped us and told us that we had to go all the way out to the furtherest point on the right side of the picture.  They told us we'd see a lot of coral and sea turtles out there.  So, we set out for the longest swim of our lives.  It took FOREVER to get there.  There was only one other couple there and we had left all our stuff sitting on rocks for anyone to take.  Needless to say, we swam all the way out there and there wasn't a single sea turtle.  Luckily, we saw many more sea turtles every other time we snorkled.

Next, we visited DT Flemming, Kapalua and Napili Bay.  We spent most of our time at Napili Bay and it had one of our favorite Happy Hours of the trip.
The above picture is of the water in between Kapalua and Napili Bay.

Scott swam with the sea turtle in the above picture at Napili Bay.

We ended our day with shopping in Old Lahaina and we visited the Banyan Tree.

Maui- Sunrise, Day 1 & 2

Scott and I went to Maui for our 10 year anniversary at the beginning of October.  This was by far one of our favorite vacations and a place that we will definitely be back to visit.  I keep meaning to sit down and spend some time to blog about it, but the past month has been a little crazy and we've all been sick.  I've been on numerous medications, to the doctor 3 times and now have pleurisy that I can't seem to get rid of despite a few rounds of steroids, which is highly annoying and discouraging.  If I didn't have to move my right arm or breathe to survive, this pleurisy wouldn't be that bad....Ha!

Anyways, we had an amazing trip.  The flights were long, but worth it once we arrived.  On our second flight, we were delayed on the runway for an hour, which made our 2nd flight 9.5 hours long.  Our first day, we did a little exploring....had dinner...and we were in bed by 6pm.
On Thursday morning, we woke early and traveled to Haleakala National Park to see the sunrise.  We left our condo around 3:30am (this was no big deal as we were awake at 2:30 that morning) and drove up to the top of the volcano.  This was probably my favorite thing that we did the whole trip.  It was unbelievable to be above the clouds, on top of the volcano, watching the sunrise.  When can you ever do that again?  It was in the 40's that morning, but we were prepared.  We layered our clothes and brought a blanket.
My pictures don't do it justice, but it was awesome!

Football 2016

Another year of flag football is successfully behind us.  Connor finished his football season this past Sunday.  He was on the Saints team this year.  This season, he scored a number of touchdowns and pulled a few flags.  He keeps begging to play tackle football, but I keep telling him he needs a lot more years of flag before we start tackle.

Good Job, Connor!!

Connor's Field Trip

I was able to go on Connor's field trip to Russell Farms at the beginning of October.  It was very muddy and Connor's asthma was really bothering him, but we still had fun!

Here are some highlights from the pumpkin patch:

Halloween 2016

We had a great Halloween and did a lot of different activities this year!

We carved pumpkins (way too early....none of them made it to Halloween)
We went to Boo Bash in Fishers.  It was muddy, so we didn't stay long....

Connor's school had a Halloween night for the whole family.  There was a Halloween Parade, games and lots of crafts!

Scott and I had a few Halloween Parties to go to in our neighborhood.  We had a lot of different costume ideas, but decided on Ninjas for both parties, as it was easiest!
Trick-or-Treating in our neighborhood!  The longer we live here, the more we love this neighborhood!

The neighborhood crew!  These kids (except for Trenton and Emery) sprinted from house to house!
Happy Halloween!!!!

Toddler Bed

On Friday, October 21st we said goodbye to cribs in this house.  We put Emery's toddler rail on her bed.  So far, she's done excellent.  The first couple times she would get into bed, she'd shake her head 'no' while saying "fall" (meaning...she won't fall out of bed).  She waits for us to come get her in the morning and doesn't get out at night or during nap time!  We are 3 for 3 for easy toddler bed transitions....phew!!!!  We're hoping she continues to do great!

Brown County

This year we went to Brown County for the Wamsley Retreat at the beginning of October.  Here are a few pictures from the weekend:
