3 Months

Wow....It doesn't seem possible that Elli has been with us for 3 months now! It is amazing to think about how much she has changed since she was born. She is getting so big and I forget what her little body looked like at 6 pounds. Elli is really starting to fill out and getting longer each day. We can get a smile out of her frequently throughout the day! She loves hearing the "kissing" sound and loves being talked to!! She will even stick her tongue out at you if you do it enough to her! She is really a lot of fun! Elliana is turning over now and has been for about a week now. She continues to enjoy being held and prefers that over a swing!

Nana and Papa Lindvall came this past weekend for a visit! We didn't get any pictures because we were busy running errands and teaching Nana L. how to use her new computer! She is a quick learner with the computer. They were able to watch little Elli while Scott and I went shopping for our new tree and plants!

We're still trying to get her digestive system figured out! Elli was given 3 ounces of prune juice on Saturday and 2 ounces on Sunday, but nothing happened! (GRR!!) Until I went to get her on Monday morning! I found Elli COVERED and I mean COVERED in POO. I felt horrible. See....Elli is now pretty much sleeping though the night. So, I didn't notice this until I got her that morning. Ugh! I cleaned her off the best I could with wipes and then she immediately got a bath. Her sleeper could not be salvaged and I wasn't even going to try! She will be due for more prune juice tomorrow, but I think we might just skip it and give her the suppository the dr. gave us OR maybe give her only 1 ounce of juice. Hopefully we will never have to experience that again. I can't wait until we get her system figured out!!

We woke up Sunday morning with a congested little girl! She's been coughing, sneezing, and has had a stuffed up nose the past couple of days. She's always been a pretty good napper, but this cold has made her sleep even more during the day! Hopefully this will pass soon!!

Elli is finally starting to enjoy taking baths. The first 2 pictures were taken when Elli was just 10 days old. She used to HATE baths and it was all we could do to get the baths over as quick as possible. You can see her newborn rash on the first picture.

These pictures were taken on Sunday night. She looks so long in these pictures.

Just relaxing in my jacuzzi!!

Smiling at daddy!

I love this picture!! Anyone who has spent time with Elli knows that she ALWAYS has those little feet crossed!! She even crossed them in some of the ultrasound pictures that the Dr. took.

Elliana has started sucking on her fist! She is beginning to put things in her mouth. If you give her your finger, you can expect it to go right to her mouth!

************************************************************
We (well mainly Scott) did some work on our yard and landscaping on Sunday. Obviously, Bella loves to be outside with us. We took a break by throwing the ball to her and letting her play in the hose.

On the right side of this picture you can see the weeping cherry tree Scott planted. He tore out a bush that he has been wanting to get rid of since we moved in and planted the tree!

Just some action shots! Bella's favorite things are: the ball, flashlight, and water! Anytime you turn on a hose, you can expect Bells to be right there getting in your way!

I brought Elli out on the porch while I was planting flowers. I put a blanket on her legs and the next thing I knew that blanket was up by her face. I kept moving the blanket down, but every time I turned around she had moved it to her face! Looks like she will have a "niney" or blanket one day!

Sleeping after a long morning of work! While they slept, I went to the grocery store. I came home to Elli wearing a different outfit and Scott shirtless! Apparently Elli threw up all over both of them while they were sleeping!

Below is the Elli's 3 month photo shoot! Enjoy!!

I had to bring Sophie, Elli's giraffe, and favorite toy out to get some smiles!!

12 weeks

Little Elliana is 12 weeks old today! She is growing more and more everyday! Our last week has been extremely busy with me starting back at work! Elli did really well at the daycare, but didn't sleep much. Her daycare "teacher" sent us pictures from her first day there...she was smiling pretty big in those pictures! She was exhausted when she got home! I'm hoping she will adjust quickly.

Elli got her 3 month pictures taken this past Saturday! We've only seen a couple since that session, but the ones we have seen turned out great! Bella and Elli had matching tutus and got their first picture taken together!! Mom and Dad were here this weekend and got a couple pictures with Elli.

Elli is still having trouble with her digestive system. The dr. wanted to see us today, so we went in this morning for an appt. She did great. She gave me different holding positions to help her gas and a massage we can do to help move along the poo. She wants Elli to get 4 oz. of straight prune juice a day and take a suppository if it is still not better. Well....I don't think we'll need the suppository. Elliana's had two REALLY dirty diapers within an hour of getting the prune juice. I'm thinking we will not give her any tonight. The NP said it was the formula that was making her so constipated, so she will continue to get a mixture of formula and breastmilk. Elliana weighed 10 pounds 12 ounces at her appt. today. The NP was surprised at how much she had gained since her last appt. Hopefully we'll get her digestive system regulated here soon!

Below are pictures from this past weekend....

Look at those leg warmers!!

11 weeks

I can't believe that yesterday was Elli's 11 week birthday! We visited her daycare and discussed with her teachers things that Elli enjoys and things that she doesn't. They encouraged me to leave her there for a couple hours while I went to my dr. appointment....so I did. It was definitely harder on me than it was on her! I left the daycare crying and the thought of having to do that again tomorrow makes me sick to my stomach. I can't believe that I go back to work tomorrow. I realized yesterday that there is no way I could go back to work full-time anytime within the next 5 years. I really wish we had family around that could watch Elli for us. I hate sending her to a place where I don't know any of the people that work there. I am just thankful that she only has to go there 2 days a week! Scott will go with me tomorrow to drop her off....I just don't think I can do it by myself.

Elli is getting bigger every day! She is still having trouble with constipation. The dr. doesn't think this will get any better until she starts solids. Unfortunately, she will have to deal with this pain for another 5.5 weeks until we can start her on solid food. She gets pear juice daily to help her poo. The dr. says we can start giving her prune juice which might help things move better. We celebrate every poop she has in this house....we hate to see her in pain!

I love this smile...

This past weekend Scott's cousins came to visit us and met Elli for the first time! We had a great time with them and wished they could have stayed longer. They brought Elli her first play kitchen! I'm sure she will love playing with this when she gets a little older!!

I love this picture! Bella LOVES her ball and tries to get everyone to throw it for her. Elli was on her play mat moving her arms and legs all around. Bella kept dropping the ball right by her trying to get her to pick up the ball and throw it for her.

We just can't get enough of this little girl! She is smiling and cooing so much these days and we love it! Scott and I have been finding little things she likes and do them repeatedly just so we can see that smile!

My first Easter and My 10 week birthday!!

Elli made her 2nd trip home to Indiana this past weekend for Easter! We had a good and busy weekend! We got to see lots of family and Elli even got to meet her Great-Grandma and Grandpa Wamsley!

Today, Elliana is officially 10 weeks old. I can't believe my maternity leave is coming to a close! I will be starting a new job in just a week and a half! Although I am only going back to work for 2 days a week, I know it will be a really hard transition! I'm not ready to leave her with someone else yet!

We had Elliana's 2 month dr. appointment yesterday. She did well until the dr. pulled out the shots. She got 2 shots in both legs and got an oral vaccination. Elli did not like the shots and let everyone in the office know how she felt....Yikes! I've never heard her scream like that! She is 10 pounds and 22 1/2 inches long! She is in the 50th percentile for height and 25 percentile for weight! Other than the shots, the appointment went well. The dr. increased her acid reflux medicine....we will go back to the dr. in 2 months for another check-up.
