Random Pictures

Here are some Random Pictures:

Emery's Hair
We were trying to get Connor ready for school….he kept telling us that he already went and he didn't need to go (this was his second day of school).

Hanging out while big sis is at school….
Elli was the special helper at school and was very excited about it….

He came downstairs one day looking like this….

He wore his Purdue jersey to school and a kid in his class told him not to wear that jersey again.  He said he needed to wear a red jersey (geesh….they are only 3 years old!!).

 Hernia poking out….
 Sisters….
Elli tells me almost every other day, "I'm so glad I have a sister.  We're going to be best friends."

We couldn't wake her up at 9:00 at night….she was limp….needless to say, she woke us up at 3 that morning!  Thanks Emery!

She ends up like this….fast asleep when I put her on her stomach for tummy time.
I blew raspberries at her….I thought she would laugh….she cried….

I was trying to give her a bottle before bed in hopes to get her to sleep all night….she clinched her lips shut!

Connor's first football game

We took Connor to his first OSU football game a few weeks ago while Nana & Papa Lindvall stayed with the girls!  We had a great time just focusing on our little guy!

On our way to the game….
One of his favorite things….riding the bus to the stadium….

We asked him what he wanted to eat for lunch….he chose popcorn and pretty much ate the whole box!

One day we'll be walking with him on campus as a student (maybe…..)….
We had a great day with Connor and it made me miss having our season tickets!!

Em & El

Which one is Emery??
The above picture is Elli at 12 weeks old.  Just to give you an idea of the difference in size….Elli was 10 pounds 12 ounces at 3 months of age.  At Emery's 2 month check up, she was 11 pounds 11 ounces.  It's crazy the difference….Below is Emery at 9 weeks in the same outfit as what Elli wore….

2 Months Old

Emery is officially 2 months old as of October 5th.  I'm not sure where the last 2 months have gone, as it feels like she was just born.  She is growing and changing everyday!

We had her 2 month Dr. appointment this past Wednesday.  She is within the 50th to 56th percentile for weight, length and head circumference.  The Dr. said developmentally she's doing great.  She was impressed with how well she is holding her head up and said she was doing a skill that they hope to see at 4 months (bringing her hands midline to her face).  She has an umbilical hernia that we're hoping goes away on it's own within the next few months.  I'm skeptical though as the Dr. said 'well, it could go away on it's own, but hers is really big.'  If it hasn't gone away in 3 to 5 years, then she'll get it surgically removed.  The appearance doesn't bother me, but it's a little frustrating that this thing could potentially become very dangerous to her health (although this is rare).  We have to make sure it doesn't turn red and that it can always be easily pushed in and will come back out.

At 2 months this girl's sleep is so inconsistent!  She has given us nights of 6, 7, and 8 hours of sleep; however, we have seen some major regression in the sleep department.  The first 2 nights of this week we got about 4 hours of sleep.  It is starting to get better, as she's going about 5 hours….will wake up and eat…..and then go back to sleep for a few more hours.  This is totally doable.  The whole eating/back to sleep process takes 15 to 30 minutes which isn't bad!  Emery is still in our room and I won't move her up to her bed until she's is consistently sleeping 6 or 7 hours because our rooms aren't on the same floor of the house!

I'm afraid she might have some constipation issues like her big sis used to have!  She went 1 whole week (7 days) without going poo!  (yes, remember Lindvalls' how we joked that she'd have a blow out on our way home last Sunday….um…no….just went yesterday!).  We had to put an ounce of water in her milk and 13 hours later she finally went.

Emery is really starting to coo and smile more at us!  She is fussiest in the evening.  Emery loves, loves, loves taking a bath!  As soon as she hears the water run, she calms right down!  The Dr. told me to go ahead and start to try getting her on a schedule….so we're attempting one currently!

Here is our photo shoot this month:

AWANA

We made a last minute decision and decided to put the kids in AWANA at our church this year.  They go every Wednesday from 6:30 to 8:00 and love it.  They have to memorize a new bible verse each week after we go over a lesson at home.  They've earned their bags, numerous stickers and their vests so far this year.  They are both in the same classroom and love being together.

Preschool 2014/2015

On September 9th, Elli began Pre-K (last year of preschool) and Connor started 2-day preschool.  It's so crazy to me that Connor is old enough to go to preschool and if wasn't for my friend's at Spark, I probably would have broken down at drop off.  Both kids were so excited for school.  Elli is still enjoying it and goes Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays every week.  Connor goes Tuesdays and Thursdays and the newness has gone away.  When we woke him up on the 11th, he kept saying that he already went to school and didn't need to go again.  He definitely didn't understand that he would be going each week.  I think he still likes it, but isn't as eager to go as Elli.  Connor has Elli's teacher from last year, Mrs. Grimm.  She's so sweet and I'm so glad he's in her class.  We are also really enjoying Elli's teacher this year.

Hanging up his Batman backpack.  (He loves his bag)….
Waiting in line to go in.  This is where I almost lost it.  Mrs. Grimm told me that he came up to her and told her he was nervous!
 Elli walking to her class….
Hanging up her bag and walking into class….

So far it has been a great year!
