Last Day of school 2016

Last day of school pictures!  I'm so proud of these kids!  They moved school in the middle of the year and did great!!

I took the kids out for donuts after the last day to celebrate!!

Mini Marathon

Scott and I had been training for the mini marathon since January!  We both felt really good about the half leading up to the race.  We both finished a 12 mile run a few weeks prior and it felt really good to both of us.  My friend, Megan, came from Ohio to run with me!

I ended up getting the stomach flu the day before the race and was only able to keep down a banana and a half that day.  I knew going into the morning that it wouldn't be a good run because of the way I was feeling, but gave it a try anyways.  

Right before the race….

I made it through, but did not do well at all.  It was pretty frustrating to have great training runs, but have a bad race due to being sick. I think Scott had a good run, but he wasn't real pleased with it.  He ended up getting sick a few times a couple days before the race.  He was able to eat good meals the day before the race, but said he could definitely tell his body was not 100% while running.

We will definitely be doing another half, but we're enjoying a break from the long runs!!

Quack Daddy Donuts

One of the benefits of living in Indy is being closer to the Stamper family.  Here are some pictures of our night out at Quack Daddy Donuts!  The kids got to pick their topping and loved it!

Ninja Class

Connor took a 10 week Ninja class over the past few months!  He loved every second of it and did great.  It was so much fun watching him learn new ninja moves. 

Here he is holding his ribbon and medal after class…he received two medals during the spring session….one for holding his head stand for 5 seconds and the other for holding it for 10 seconds.

Indy 500

We weren't sure if we'd be able to attend the Indy 500 this year, as tickets were sold out before the day of the race.  Thankfully, we were able to get tickets from some random man selling them!

We woke the kids up around 5:00 that morning and headed down to the track.  We let them play in the kid area and they loved going down the big slide and being in the bounce house.

The kids did great for being up so early!  It was a hot day, but it didn't rain at all!

Dane passed out for about 30 minutes and Elli joined him for about 5 of those minutes.

We had a great day and the kids had a lot of fun!!

Nashville 2016

Our friend, Nicole, moved to Memphis a year ago with her family.  A few of us girls (from Ohio) decided to have a girls weekend in Nashville with Nicole!  Here are some pictures from our weekend….
