Christmas 2017

Our Christmas celebrations were more spread out this year, which made Christmas seem not as rushed or chaotic!

We spent December 16th with the Zurchers for Christmas and then celebrated with Scott's extended family the rest of that day.

The weekend before Christmas, we went over to Ohio to celebrate with Grandma and Grandpa Brauchler.  Unfortunately, this trip ended abruptly and we only got to see my grandparents for a few minutes.  Connor fell and hit his face on the pool deck.  My dad's childhood friend is a pediatric dentist in Dublin and was willing to see Connor that day.  He had to pull Connor's front two teeth, but he was able to keep the teeth directly beside his front two.  Luckily, he didn't need any stitches.  Connor was so brave at the dentist and did so good!  His dentist recommended dental surgery, but we were able to get another opinion and have decided to wait and keep and eye on his mouth.

Connor woke up in more pain on Christmas Eve.  We went to our Christmas Eve service and then had to go get extra food that Connor could drink :)
We spent the rest of the day relaxing and then went to see the IMS lights.
We came home to put food out for the reindeer....
Gave our elf, Plower, a hug....(this was a first and the kids were so excited about this)

We did milk and cookies for Santa....
And read The Night Before Christmas....

Christmas morning, Scott read out of the bible and then we opened gifts!

We went to the Lindvalls' house and my parents house on Christmas Day.  We celebrated Christmas with my family on the 26th....
And Scott's family on the 28th....

All the kids played outside in the freezing cold, but these three were the only ones that lasted out there for awhile!

We had a great time celebrating Christmas with everyone and can't believe that it is already over!

Emery's Christmas Program

Emery had her Christmas program mid-December.  She was so excited for it and she did an excellent job!  We loved watching her up there!  She had a smile on her face the whole time, did all the hand motions and sang every song.  This program will always be one of my favorite memories of her and I'm so excited that we still have 2.5 more years of preschool programs with this girl!!  What a fun day it was watching her up on stage!

Study Trip with Connor

Connor and I got to go see a play with his class of one of his favorite books.  We went to go see Miss Nelson Is Missing!  It was fun spending a morning with Connor and his class.

Serve Day at Church

We got to spend the morning a few weeks ago serving at our church.  It was fun to watch our kids play games and serve kids their age with disabilities.

Santa

We made our annual trip to Reynolds to see Santa this year.  We met up with friends there and then all went to dinner after!

Gingerbread house

I surprised the kids one day after school at the beginning of December with making a gingerbread house.  They were so excited and worked together pretty well on it!

Emery's first haircut

Elli and I took Emery to get her first 'real' haircut at the beginning of December.  She was so excited and sat so still for the lady.

Thanksgiving 2017

We spent Thanksgiving with Scott's family up north after we were able to see my grandparents for a few minutes that morning.  On Friday, we did our annual Black Friday shopping trip and then spent the rest of the day with Scott's extended family.  We were able to relax the rest of the holiday weekend.
