Connor's birthday party

We celebrated Connor's birthday on August 1st at my parent's house.  Connor had been talking about his birthday and party for months prior to this!  He requested a race car themed birthday party this year.

My dad rented a bounce house for the party and it was a huge success.
All the cousins (minus Emery) lined up getting ready to jump!
 We played corn hole….
We had relay races (and had candy for prizes)
 Connor's birthday cake...

 The spread….
Unfortunately, the birthday boy got stung behind his ear….he recuperated relatively quickly!!
 Opening his gifts….
He had been asking for a rescue bot….and he got it!!

Singing 'Happy Birthday' to him….he always has this face when he gets embarrassed!
 Blowing out the candles….
The kids even got to swim in a pool in the afternoon!
It was a fun day and Connor had quite the celebration for his 4th birthday!!

Emery- 1 year pictures

Emery Rose is 1 year old…..

Elliana- 5.5 years old

On July 26th, Elliana turned 5 and a half years old!  She is sweet, funny, caring, kind and always so positive.
Elli has become a huge animal lover.  She loves all kinds of animals (especially dogs and cats) and has even taken a liking to bugs.  She has no issue picking up any kind of bug.  Elli loves playing outside and hasn't found a sport yet that she doesn't love.  She loves softball and is really good at hitting the ball to the opposite side of the yard.  She's decided this fall that she would like to play soccer and she will begin that at the end of the month.  Elli has also become quite the swimmer and loves to jump off the diving board and swim to the other end of the pool (without floaties).

This has been a big summer for Elli.  She has learned to ride her bike without training wheels and tie shoes.  She loves learning and is so excited for Kindergarten.  She can carry on a conversation with anyone and often will say 'hi' to random people while we are out and about.
Elli continues to be the best eater out of all the kids.  She is always so good about finishing her meals and will eat everything on her plate.  She LOVES deviled eggs, egg salad, cheese ravioli, spaghettios, spaghetti, cheeseburgers, chicken nuggets/fingers, fruit, and mac and cheese.  Those are a few of her favorites.  She is not a huge 'sweets' person, but still loves a bowl of ice cream or the occasional piece of candy.
Elli has pretty much given up her nap and exchanged it for quiet time in her room.  Since the older 2 kids have not been napping, bedtime is usually around 7:30 or 7:45.  Elli usually sleeps until 7:00 or 8:00.

Elli is slowly growing out of the disney princess stage.  Nowadays, she will pick anything animal over one of the disney princesses.  She also has been preferring shorts over dresses (mainly because that is all her brother wears).  She is always quick to give compliments, hugs and kisses.  She LOVES movies and t.v. shows and if I didn't limit it, I think she would be happy watching t.v. all day.  Elli is extremely helpful, but continues to be relatively bossy towards Connor.

Elliana is sweet, silly and so much fun!  We are continually blessed by her!  Happy 5.5 years, sis (she spent all of July 26th telling everyone….even random people….that she was 5.5)!!

July 4th

The Fourth of July has become one of my favorite holidays over the past few years.  It's been the one holiday where we've stayed here and started traditions.

The only thing better than having your own pool is having friends with a pool!!  We went to our friends annual 4th of July pool party (of course when it was raining).

Emery's 1st Fourth of July!!

We went to our favorite parade in New Albany.

The kids walked away with a ridiculous amount of candy!!
We ended the night with ice cream and fireworks.  Emery made my day with how well she did at fireworks.  Even though they started 3 hours after her bedtime, she loved them and kept reaching to grab them.
Connor literally walked around holding his ears the whole night.  The kids love fireworks and it makes  the late bedtimes worth it!
Emery passed out on the way home!
