Elli's Gymnastics

Elli has spent the last few months in gymnastics!  She went to her last gymnastics class the other day since softball will be starting up soon!  She loves gymnastics and it's always fun to watch her!

Hedgehog

We were able to spend the weekend with Elli's class pet, a hedgehog named Hedgie!  He was an interesting little thing that didn't really like to be bothered!  We all were able to hold him while he was with us.

Basketball Season

This was the first year that Connor played basketball.  He absolutely loved it!  It was so fun watching him play!

Connor is 6.5 years old

Connor is 6.5 years old and is still wild and crazy!

Connor really enjoys school, but loves having breaks!!  His ability to read has really taken off this year.  He is reading beginning chapter books and actually enjoys doing it!  He also continues to like math!  I've been able to go into his classroom to volunteer multiple times this year and I love seeing him with all his friends.

Connor played basketball this winter and his love of the sport has really taken off.  He is constantly outside shooting hoops whenever he gets the chance.  When it is too cold, he shoots baskets on his little basketball hoop in our house.  He is gearing up for baseball season and is really excited to start that.  He's often had Scott outside throwing him pitches or playing catch with him.

Connor continues to love video games.  Once he starts playing them, it's hard to get him off of them.  So, he typically only plays them when we're going in the car for a long distance or occasionally on Thursday evenings during Elli's gymnastics class.

He continues to be the pickiest eater out of the three kids.  I'm waiting for the day when this won't be the case, but I'm not sure when that will be!

Emery is 3.5 years old

Emery is 3.5 years old and is growing so much these days!

Emery is a decent eater.  Her favorite foods are salami, green beans, french fries, chicken nuggets and hot dogs.  She still loves playing with her big brother, but has really started to like following Elli around.  She loves getting in all of Elli's things in her room and typically will go in there looking for things that Elli will let her keep!

Emery loves playing with her stuffed animals and baby dolls.  Her favorite things are wipes, chapstick, hand sanitizer, and purses/bags.  Emery often grabs a purse or bag and stuffs as much stuff in it at a time.  She will carry it around all day.  She LOVES changing her clothes and is often in 3 different outfits everyday.

Emery still loves princesses, but her favorite show is 'Spirit' these days.  She loves watching T.V. and movies!  Her best friend is Maddy and she gets so excited to see her.  They get along pretty well, but definitely spend some time getting in little fights.

Emery loves music and dancing.  She loves writing her name, painting and coloring pictures.  She will often play school with her easel. Emery loves school and particularly loves playing with a boy named, Henry, at school!

Elli's Birthday Party

We celebrated Elli's birthday this year with her closest friends at Skyzone!  The kids jumped, we ate pizza and then had cupcakes after.  After her party, Elli was invited to stay the night with two of her friends at their house.  The next morning we had a party with family!

Elliana is 8

Elli turned 8 years old on January 26th!  It is so fun watching her become more mature and develop into such a sweet girl!

Elli's favorite movies are High School Musical and Descendants.  She is starting to enjoy more 'real people' shows versus cartoons.  She continues to participate in gymnastics and will start up softball and swimming here soon.  She loves softball and it is still her favorite sport....she keeps talking about how she can't wait for it to start.

Elli has really turned a corner in terms of reading.  If we can find her the right book, she loves sitting on the couch after school and reading.  Her favorite books are currently Ivy and Bean books!

She continues to be such a good eater.  Her favorite foods are pizza, olives, chicken nuggets, pasta and fruits.  She still enjoys school, but loves having breaks off here and there.  Whenever she has free time at home, she loves playing with our next door neighbor (one of her good friends).

Elli loves keeping her room neat and does not enjoy the other two kids coming in her room, as they tend to mess things up in there.  She loves music and often blares her favorite music whenever possible.  She loves telling jokes and has such a contagious laugh!

We love her quick wit and kind heart. Happy Belated 8th Birthday, El!
