Emery is 2.5

Emery is officially 2.5 years and this day has completely snuck up on me!  She is growing and changing so much!

Emery is really starting to love all things girl!  She loves her princesses and her favorites are Belle, Rapunzel, Ariel, Anna and Elsa.  She loves wearing princess dresses or shirts with the princesses on them.  Currently, she loves putting her Anna and Elsa dresses on and dancing all around to their music.

Emery loves carrying a purse around.  Her favorite things are chapstick, hand sanitizer and gum.  She's never actually had gum, but she loves the idea of it.  She carries around these three things all day long....so we try to keep them out of her sight as much as possible.

Emery loves being a mommy to her baby and enjoys playing with Elli's American girl dolls.  She loves dancing, coloring, play dough, and painting.  She loves searching through Elli's room, which Elli does not like :)

Emery is a somewhat picky eater, but we tend to get a decent amount of food down her every day.  Her favorite foods are: salami, cheese, marshmallows, candy, ice cream, hot dogs, Mac and cheese, and baked beans.  She is still really small for her age, so she continues to be on whole milk.  She loves ketchup and ranch and continues to dip most things in them (per Doctor's request to add more calories).

Emery continues to make progress on her speech....it's just not as fast as I'd like.  She's beginning to put more two and three word phrases together and occasionally will do a four word phrase.  We continue to work on it and even the older two kids are making her use her words to request things.

Emery is doing great with her potty skills.  She often wakes up dry from nap and from bedtime.  She almost never has an accident!

I can't believe how big this girl is getting!  Happy 2.5 years, Emery!!

Elli is 7

Seven seems so incredibly old!  I can't believe Elli is seven!!  She is currently doing pretty well in school.  Elli enjoys school, but really loves when she has breaks.

Elli still loves all her stuffed animals and enjoys playing with them.  She also likes playing with her American girl dolls and doing different crafts.  She often comes home with a new creation from school each day.

Elli is currently in gymnastics and looks forward to it each week.  She is constantly doing handstands, cartwheels and round offs all around the house.  She just learned to do her back walker over all by her self.  We put up a basketball goal this winter and Elli (and Connor) like shooting baskets and playing pig.  She will be starting softball in the fall and swim team this summer.  She enjoys doing both!

Elli is a sweet girl with a splash of attitude.  She loves being around people and likes to talk nonstop! Happy Birthday, ELLI!!!!

Valentine's Day

Happy Belated Valentine's Day!

(I will keep this card from Connor for as long as I live, as I think it's so sweet).

I took Connor out for our Valentine's date the day before Valentine's Day.  He picked Culver's for his date and of course left me as soon as we walked in to the restaurant to go play.

Elli also picked Culver's for her date with Scott.  She was so excited and Scott said she talked nonstop!  He said he was pretty much done with his dinner by the time she started hers :)

Connor is 5.5

Connor is 5.5 years old and turning into such a big kid!  Connor loves school and has started going a full day on Fridays.  He loves playing with all his friends and often asks if we can have some of the boys over to play after school throughout the week!  His best friend is Hudson!  He is in a class full of boys and these boys are rough with each other.  It's not uncommon to see a wrestling match on the playground after school lets out!

Connor continues to be super shy with adults.  It's one thing we are really going to try and start working on big time before he goes to Kindergarten.  Speaking of, I just haven't been able to bring myself to register him for Kindergarten for next year.  I can't imagine him in a big school, but I need to get use to the idea because it'll be here before we know it.  Academically, Connor is doing great.  He's starting to read and loves to work on math.

Connor is currently in swim lessons and is doing such a great job.  He has 3 more lessons and I can't believe at how much better he has gotten in just the short time he's been in there.  He also loves shooting his basketball on our new goal outside and playing catch with Scott.

Connor still loves trains, cars and planes, but has really started to love transformers.  He loves putting legos together and I fear they might start taking over our house!  Connor is really into his video games (mariokart and wii sports) and I can see how this could be a problem for us, as he always wants to play them!  He also loves driving go-karts!

Connor and Emery still have such a sweet relationship.  I always catch him saying, "Emmy, you look pretty today" or "Sweetie, do you need help?" or "Come let Bubba help you."  She really is crazy about him and I think she is going to have a really hard time with him being gone next year at school.

Happy 5.5 to our sweet boy!!

Monster Jam

Connor and Scott got to go to Monster Jam this year.  Connor loved it and had to build a ramp for his trucks as soon as he got home.
